How best to use Roads

We, in India, are very economic users of what we get. Take for example the road. The government builds us a road and we make the best use of it.

In other countries, a road is used only for traffic. Such heavy investments aren’t justified when their potential is not fully used. In India, a road has FIVE different users, and all at the same time.

A road in India is used by:
1. Pedestrians
2. Vendors, grocers and hawkers
3. Stray animals ambling about
4. Parking (2-wheelers and cars)
5. And (last but not least) Traffic!

Could teach the world a thing or two.
