Shafqat and I
Just a quick press here for all Shafqat Amanat Ali fans. He is a man of his words. When he promised me (on my birthday) that he would come to Dubai after Eid and meet me, I did not know it was for real. He kept his word.
We had a wonderful 90 minute chat discussing music and its nuances, his musical influences to rare songs, the use of raagas to reviving traditional music compositions, over endless cups of coffee and cookies.
Watch this space for more on his chat with me and a surprise to all who are avid bloggers. For now, am just posting a pic of me and the Rockstar Ustaad himself – so eat your hearts out!
